What years were you a Ball Boy?

1959 -1961

What courts did you look after, what age were you?

10, 11, 12 etc. Head Ball Boy 1961, probably as a consequence of being School Captain.

Did you enjoy the task and why?

Of course, it was a change of scenery and a welcome interruption to the school routine.

Did anything unusual/funny happen whilst you were on court?

As head ball boy I used to sell "lost" balls to the servicemen on Centre and No. 1 courts, who would then sell them on to the public.

Which player did you most enjoy meeting and why?

No particular memory of an encounter, enjoyable or otherwise, with any player.

Who is your favourite tennis player today?

I don't have any heroes.

Do you play tennis now and if so do you belong to a club?

No.

Would you like to add any further information?

I remember that Billy Charlton used to get long handwritten letters from Billy Jean King (Moffet).
