What years were you a Ball Boy?

1960 to 1962

What courts did you look after, what age were you?

Court 1 & 2 aged 13  centre court aged 14/15

Did you enjoy the task and why?

The whole occasion was brilliant getting the opportunity to meet all the famous players of the day. Although, I do not remember enjoying the coach ride to and from Wimbledon. A great chance to show of although I doubt if any one noticed. Overall a great experience.

Did anything unusual/funny happen whilst you were on court?

I was embarrassed once by a player hitting the ball in my face and making a fuss over me

Which player did you most enjoy meeting and why?

I liked Neil Fraser he seemed always nice to ball boys

Who is your favourite tennis player today?

Bob Hewitt probably he was horrible to me.

Do you play tennis now and if so do you belong to a club?

No, gave it up some years ago

Would you like to add any further information?

Being a part of Wimbledon is always with me and it is nice to chat to the grand kids about the experience.
