Keith found our website after reading the article
in the guild magazine..
Thank you for your message It was so good to see
the Goldings website . just like coming home. I myself have
only been on the web for about eight weeks as my son-in-law and my
daughter with my four grandchildren have immigrated to Australia and
he gave me one of his computers so we could keep in touch with them
I had never touched one before. Well about me I was at Goldings from
June 1946 to November 1950 and was in the bookmaking shop Talking to
John Leach this evening we had a lot to talk about as I knew john
when he was at Goldings, he and I are the same age, same date.
same month. same year I wont tell you how old I am ask John I Would
like to get in touch with Jimmy James who I know very well also
Robert Pegg if it is at all possible I have so many stories about my
time at Goldings I would like to be able to share some of them with
you when I e-mail you again This is a great thing as I don't get out
as much as I would like so this is so good to be able to keep in
contact with old friends from some of the happiest years of my life
I will contact you again very soon All the very best from a new
member.
