This page will hold pictures and information on the many members of staff of Goldings, some were ex pupils of Goldings and some made the best masters. But through its short history of just 45 years Goldings had many House masters, School masters and not forgetting the Trade teachers. Top of the list from information received is Skip Culver, Pop Steel, Joe Patch and his dog. (has anyone got a photo) please send some information and a photo if you have one. The editor of The Goldonian school magazine wrote: It has been suggested that a few words about various members of the Staff at Goldings would be welcomed. We propose therefore, month by month, to give pen, pictures of the Staff in order of length of service at Goldings. Although the Governor has not the record for long service, nevertheless courtesy bids us place his personality before you as number one of our series. The series will be written in more humorous vein than serious. Whether they accurately describe the doings and life of the person portrayed is left for the reader to Determine - Do you have some pictures of members of staff, please send them in with your few words on past members of staff. Please click on the thumbnail to enlarge photo and further information. Do you have a Goldings member of staff that you would like to nominate, all you have to do is send some info and a photo if you have one or I will try and source one. Its as easy as that. Note: while I have added the nicknames of some of the masters these would never be used by any boy as Respect was definitely the name of the game back in in our days or was it fear?
Click to view staff List listed in the Goldonian Below you will see information on past members of staff. If you have any further information or photos please send them in. Please note I have included some of the Masters nicknames which would never be used in front of the masters apart from Skip. |
