Note from the webmaster: I have included Dixie's story Click here as sent, an edited version appeared in the Guild Messenger Summer 1999 issue 317. I have added some links for the full version, which is a good read. Shotley Park closed in the sixties and was converted into a luxury old peoples home. The building has hardly changed from the time Dixie was at Shotley Park. To The Manor Born?

Shotley Park used to belong to the Priestman family, industrialists who made their money by developing coal mines in the area.
