Oakley House was opened in March 1945 as a nursery and home for young children up to the age of five. At any one time there would be as many as 20 babies from the 'tinies' up to those starting to walk. The photo shows the rear view of wisteria clad Oakley House, circa 1940  Oakley House was closed in August 1970.
