Ifield Hall was opened in 1943. In November 1954 Ifield Hall provided accommodation for boys aged five to 14 years, then in 1959 accommodation for boys and girls. Ifield Hall closed on the 3rd March 1973 when the last of the staff and the six boys said their goodbyes. Just four years previously some had moved from Kingston when it closed.
