Now Thank We All Our God

   IF YOU HAVE SPEAKERS PLEASE TURN THEM ON

1. Now thank we all our God,
with heart and hands and voices,
who wondrous things has done,
in whom this world rejoices;
who from our mothers' arms
has blessed us on our way
with countless gifts of love,
and still is ours today.

2. O may this bounteous God
through all our life be near us,
with ever joyful hearts
and blessed peace to cheer us;
and keep us still in grace,
and guide us when perplexed;
and free us from all ills,
in this world and the next.

3. All praise and thanks to God
the Father now be given;
the Son, and him who reigns
with them in highest heaven;
the one eternal God,
whom earth and heaven adore;
for thus it was, is now,
and shall be evermore.

The final hymn at the closing Service on Sunday, 30th July 1967, "Now thank we all our God” the closing words of the Blessing "Go forth into the world in peace; be of good courage; hold fast that which is good; render to no man evil for evil; strengthen the faint hearted; support the weak; help the afflicted; honour all men.. Love and serve the Lord, rejoicing in the power of the Holy Spirit" - both. Seemed to sum up so much that was felt for the past, present and future by those who recall their Goldings days, as boys or staff, with affection and gratitude.

To many of us it has been a privilege to have known Goldings, and to have known boys and staff. Long may the name Goldings be seen in the pages of THE GUILD MESSENGER. Finis Coronat Opus
