House Notes
Housemaster:
Mr. Fisher
and Mr. Clarke It is my great pleasure to write once again Kinnaird House Notes. We were very sorry to lose Mr. and Mrs. Turner at the beginning of this year, and wish them every success in their new work. We welcome the following boys into the House and extend to them a warm hand of friendship: John Major, Paul Hundleby, Michael Churchill, Roger Furley and John Mason. However, we regretfully announce that we shall soon be losing John Chappell and Geoffrey Rose to the seniors. It will be their gain and our loss. In sport we are doing well. The boxing will soon be in full swing and we shall go all out to win. Also with Terence Lister as captain of our table tennis team, and incidentaly Junior School Champion, we can feel confident of success. We welcome also Mr. Fisher, who will assist Mr. Clarke in the running of the junior Houses. On behalf of my House I extend to Mr. and Mrs. Wheatley and all members of Staff a very happy Easter. Notes
House Parents:
Mr. and
Mrs. Turner It is my great pleasure to write Kinnaird House Notes for the first time. We all welcome Mr. and Mrs. Turner, our new House parents from Bournemouth. The new boys in Kinnaird are Ernest Warren, Keith Elkins, David Holmes, Alan Evans, David Mylot and David Gee, all from Barkingside. At Christmas we shall be very sorry to lose Peter Beresford, Geoffrey Forster, Michael Toynton, David Kimber and Winston Osborne who become seniors. SPORT: We are doing well, having won the swimming cup in which Patrick Snowden won the Junior Victor Ludorum. We hope to win the football but most of our best footballers have become seniors. We wish David Kimber's play a great success. All Kinnaird wish Mr. and Mrs. Wheatley, Mr. and Mrs. Turner and all members of staff a very happy Christmas and a prosperous New Year. R. House Notes
House Parents:
Mr. and Mrs. Jones Once again it is time to write the latest reports of the House. This year we did not do quite so well in boxing as we did last year, but still, we lost a good lot of our best boxers when they went to the Seniors. We are doing quite well at football this season, although we may not obtain the cup. In our House we are sorry to lose the following boys, who will become Seniors at Easter: Robert Angel, William Boyd, Thomas Carrier, John Medland, Paul Kelbie, Frederick Fossey and Sidney Cann, but we welcome in Patrick Beresford and Trevor Carrier. Well, we hope to do well at cricket and also at athletics. I don't know if we will get anywhere in swimming this year because we have lost all of our best swimmers. We welcome Mr. and Mrs. Jones from Yorkshire. This is their first time in Barnardo's so we wish them luck. Lastly, we wish Mr. and Mrs, Wheatley and all the staff a very happy Easter. D. PALMER, R. MEDLAND, Monitors |
