THE GOLDONIAN
2nd COY. 1st "C" BATTALION.
 HERTS REGIMENT. A.C.F
CORPS OF DRUMS NOTES

The Corps of Drums is going through the periodical process of recovering from the unavoidable gaps which occur over the year; this is by the senior boys having to leave on completion of their training for life outside the School. However, we have been able to fulfil all commitments in 1963 successfully and have accepted several engagements for this year. We have a big job to reach the high standard expected of us and it is only by constant practice and care of equipment that we can maintain this standard.

Our first engagement is on the 8th March, when the Battalion will be on parade at Goldings and will be led by the Corps of Drums to the service and march past of the Battalion after the inspection. We shall be leading the parade at the carnival parade in Hertford on the 14th March, and I feel sure that all ranks will be on top line at these parades.

We shall be taking part in the Carnival parade at Bishop's Stortford in May, in aid of the British Cancer Research Fund. A report of these and other engagements will be in our next issue.

A. P. CULVER, Captain O.I.C.
