I frequently browse through the Goldonian site, just to see if I know any
of your correspondents. One little thing has been bothering me. I don't remember
houses names "Pelham" or "McAndrew". I was at the school in the late 40's and
early 50's. Did these names come after my time? Jack Johnstone. (One time House
master, Aberdeen House.)

Regarding the house names while I was at Goldings the houses were listed, as on
site but in 1953 the houses that were listed were as Follows Cairns - House
Master Mr. H. Gratwick - Kinnard - House Master Mr. G White - McCall - House
Master Mr. G. J. Cruikshank - Mount Stephen - House Master Mr. H. S. Randall -
Somerset House Master - Mr. Tempest - Buxton - House Master Mr. E. A. Patch
Then my archive jumps to the 1960s I would think the new names for the houses would have been formed when the first Head Master of Goldings was appointed in 1945 Mr. R. F. Wheatley B.sc. or Pinhead as the boys knew him. So if anybody can fill in the gaps please send the information to Goldonian Web and please leave your name so if we add the content to the website, we can then also add your name. If anybody has old copies of the school mag gathering dust why not put them to good use share the information.
